Mom decided that She wanted to return to Heaven and essentially demanded that I wield Azrael's flaming sword to start a war and cut our way back in. While originally that seemed like a fine idea, considering the recent revelations regarding Dad, I ultimately decided against it, and instead suggested I return her to Hell so that she could rule it in my place. She grew very angry, hurt Linda quite severely, and then proceeded to threaten an entire pier of civilians.

In the end, I talked Her down from war with Dad by cutting open a tear into the Void and convincing Her to go through it and create Her own universe.

[ That's... A lot to process.

Also Amenadiel can stop time but we're gonna put a pin in that. ]

I'm going to be home kind of late. Freya and I are getting really drunk.

[ There's a minute before she sends another text. ]

I'm sorry, Lucifer. I know that couldn't be easy for you, letting your mom go like that.

[ She might despise the Goddess for what she did, but she loves Lucifer enough to swallow her anger.

Maze got her to a hospital in time, yes. I was visiting her right before I was knocked unconscious, actually.

That's a relief. Poor Linda.

[ She imagines if it had been worse, Lucifer would have mentioned it. The truth is, Linda is one of Chloe's few friends. She's devastated that something like this could happen to her. ]

I know we didn't exactly start off on the right foot when you got back but, I'd like to spend some time with you.

[ Chloe has no doubt about that; she knows how much Lucifer cares about Linda as a friend far more than a therapist. Linda is the only one who knows the truth at home now as it is, and Chloe can't imagine how she handles being in the middle of all of that.

Probably better than Chloe would. ]

I was supposed to take her back to hell and I didn't.

[Thus the guilt.]

And I, you. In the meantime, don't do anything I wouldn't do.

We'll talk about it more when I get back.

[ For as hard as she's taking all of this, he hasn't turned his back on her and she's going to help him deal with the emotional fallout of everything that happened back home as well as she can. At least, if he lets her, considering Lucifer and emotions don't exactly go hand in hand. ]

That doesn't narrow it down at all but don't worry, I won't be doing ANYTHING you would do.
