Wait, what?

[ That catches her completely off guard. Regardless of the history they had at home (him only knowing her a few months at that point, her having already had one failed relationship attempt with him down), they have only properly been together a couple months. Of course, Chloe practically lives with him anyway, if she has to be honest; all her personal possessions remain at her place, but barring an occasional need for personal space, it's remained largely unused since the first night they spent together.

Still, she shifts away slightly. ]

You want me to move in with you? [ Her tone makes it clear that she doesn't think he truly understands what he's just asked her. ]

[He blinks, as if he's caught himself off guard, but he just looks back at her while continuing to idly pet the bundle of fur on his leg.]

Yes, I suppose that's what I'm saying.

[Interestng.]

[ She glances down at the puppy, taking a deep breath and wondering if maybe this hadn't been the best idea. She did think the dog was something that would bring them closer together, but hearing this from Lucifer was so unexpected she still wasn't sure he actually understood what he was saying. Granted this wasn't home; it wasn't as if Chloe had Trixie's needs to worry about, and Wonderland wasn't exactly a stable environment regardless of what room anyone happened to be in. There were so many reasons as to why where she chose to sleep at night shouldn't particularly matter here.

And yet it did matter. It mattered an awful lot. ]

Lucifer... [ Chloe readjusted herself, taking Lucifer's hand in hers and tilting her head to look up at him. ] On the human relationship scale, moving in together is, uh... Kind of a massive. I think maybe it's something you want to think about.

Why?

[He seems genuinely confused about this, on multiple levels.]

I mean, you're here nearly every night already. You already have your own toothbrush in the bathroom. I fail to see how this would be such a drastic change. I mean, the bloody puppy is more earth-shaking if you ask me.

I think this is one of those nuances of human relationships that you're never going to totally get.

[ She presses her lips into a line, her gaze alternating between him and the puppy. Really, what did she have to lose? Like he said, they already lived together for all intents and purposes. Their decorating schemes weren't exactly similar, but Chloe wasn't exactly taking advantage of that with her hotel suite, anyway. Worst case scenario is they get on each other's nerves and she moves back out. Best case scenario...

Well, they'd still get on each other's nerves, either way. ]

Okay, you know what? Sure. I'll move in with you. I mean, for the puppy's sake.

See, now that wasn't so hard, now was it?

[He seems pleased that she's agreed at least, not to mention relieved. That might change down the line, once she really makes her mark on the place, but he wants her close.

He's not great at compromise, but surely if anyone can make him do it...]

[ They are going to bicker constantly, aren't they? ]

I guess not. [ Chloe moves closer to him, leaning over so she can give him a soft kiss on the lips. Sealing the deal and all that. ] You have to name him.

[Don't they already? Sounds like Tuesday.

He smiles as she presses her mouth against his. He likes this way of closing a deal, frankly.

As she pulls away, he ponders what to name the puppy, though it comes to him rather quickly and easily.]

I think I'll call him Cerberus.

[Of course.]

Cerberus? Seriously?

[ Obviously. ]

Sure. I love it. And don't worry, he'll grow on you. Everyone loves dogs.
